Take the PAYAGE (Highway) number A20:
Take exit 55 and follow signs for the D703 direction Sarlat, St Julien de Lampon. Turn right onto the D61 direction Carlux.
At the village of Carlux take the D47B direction Sainte Nathalène.
At the end of the D47B you will come to the D47 – turn left and go through the village of St Nathalène until you reach a bar called L’Escale (with a large terrace and awning). With L’Escale on your right, take the first road on the right (you will see an old petrol station/garage and agricultural materials) and follow it up the hill where you will pick up signs to the diminutive hamlet of Les Mathévies.

By air:
The nearest airport is at Brive-la-Gaillard, some 30km from St Nathalene. Airline schedules and airport information can be obtained at Brive Airport

Bergerac Airport is about 70km to the west. This airport has flights from Paris, Rotterdam and many UK airports, mostly seasonal. More information on airlines and schedules can be found on the airport’s official website: Bergerac Airport

Bordeaux (200km) is a large international and regional airport served by many airlines. For further information check the airport official website Bordeaux Airport

Toulouse (200km) is a large international airport served by many airlines and is equidistant to Bordeaux. For further information check the official website Toulouse Airport

You will almost certainly need a car or pick-up upon arrival.

By train:
Sarlat-le-Caneda (7km) is at the end of a branch line and is mainly quite scenic along the Dordogne valley. Souillac (20km) has direct trains from Paris Austerlitz.

From other parts of France, it is best to head for Bordeaux (from where most of the trains to Sarlat start their journeys) or Libourne. Research your journeys and make reservations at www.voyages-sncf.com
