Our seasonal Yoga Holidays are specially designed for children and their parents. While the adults practise yoga twice a day, the children enjoy specially planned activities. Domaine des Mathevies (www.mathevies.com) is a small, family-run campsite in the rural heart of the Dordogne near the medieval village of Sarlat. It is perfect for families with young children seeking a relaxing holiday experience, close to nature and within safe surroundings.
Adults' Programme
Carol Macartney leads the adult’s yoga course. She has been teaching yoga, meditation and pranayama for twenty years. The classes are designed for all levels. There is one session in the morning and one late-afternoon session. There is a day off to explore the area, when there are no classes.
Children's Programme
Sally Handley leads the children’s activity classes. She is a primary school teacher, an experienced circus performer, singer and musician. Activities include arts/crafts, nature walks, singing, dance sessions and a ‘kids yoga session’ culminating in a talent show spectacular at the end of the retreat.
Yoga Studio
The old barn has been lovingly restored and converted into a beautiful 100m2 ambient and naturally illuminated studio space. The warm and welcoming exposed honey-coloured stonework interior has parquet wooden flooring and is the perfect setting to practice yoga. The campsite grounds are perfect for outdoor yoga practice in the evenings.

FREE for under 3’s
All prices include accommodation, vegetarian brunch and dinner, classes/children’s activities. Under 3’s require parental supervision during adult yoga sessions.
Accommodation
Each family has its own beautifully appointed self-contained chalet. Each chalet sleeps 4 comfortably.
Accommodation supplements
The price is based on two adults per chalet. A €175 supplement applies for chalets occupied by one adult.
Payment
We ask for a deposit of €200 per-adult, per-week.
The remaining amount is payable 4 weeks before your holiday.
You can pay by bank transfer or euro cheque.
Insurance
We recommend that you take out separate travel insurance before you come.
Not included in the price
Flights – The nearest airport is Bergerac. Flights are with www.ryanair.com and www.flybe.com. We are a 90 minute drive from Bergerac airport. A taxi from the airport is approx €120. Car hire is very reasonable however, and is very strongly recommended as it often costs less than the return trip to the airport. Guests can be put in contact with each other with a view to sharing the cost of car hire if required.
