TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CAMPING PITCH – Tents, Caravans, Camping Cars and Campervans:

1. For stays of 7 nights or more, a deposit of 50% of the total is required to secure the reservation. The remaining balance is to be settled 8 weeks before arrival. Reminders are not sent out so please save the date.
2. If the balance is not settled 8 weeks before arrival, the booking will be regarded as a cancellation.
3. For stays of under 7 nights (6 nights or less), payment in full is required as a deposit to secure the reservation.
4. A booking fee of €20 applies in July and August. In May, June and September a booking fee of €5 is applicable.
5. Check-in is between 2.30pm – 8pm. Check-out is 12.30pm latest.
6. Specific camping pitches may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
7. Maximum of 6 persons (4 adults) permitted per camping pitch.
8. Maximum of 1 tent per pitch (one extra pup tent for person 7-17yrs permitted by to previous arrangement).
9. When hiring a fridge, a €100 security deposit will be requested on arrival (by credit card). It will be returned upon departure once it is confirmed that the fridge has been returned in a clean and good condition.

GITES & CHALET LETTINGS

1. A deposit of 50% of the bill is required to secure the reservation. The remaining balance is to be settled 8 weeks before arrival. Reminders are not sent out so please save the date.
2. If the balance is not settled 8 weeks before arrival, the booking will be regarded as a cancellation.
3. A booking fee of €20 applies in July and August. In May, June and September a booking fee of €10 applies.
4. Check-in is between 4pm – 8pm. Check-out is 10am latest.
5. For all lettings, a €200 good housekeeping deposit will be requested on arrival (by credit card). It will be returned upon departure once it is confirmed that the inventory is intact and the accommodation is left in good condition.

CANCELLATIONS & MODIFICATIONS – CAMPING PITCHES & LETTINGS

It is your responsibility to inform the campsite in writing of your decision to cancel. Cancellations should be emailed to info@mathevies.com.

1. If you cancel 8 weeks or more before your arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less the booking fee, administration fee (€120) and card commission (where applicable).
2. If you cancel 8 weeks or less prior to your arrival date, or in the event of non-arrival at the campsite, the deposit payment is retained.
3. In the case of late arrival or early departure, there is no reimbursement.
4. Unless we are advised in writing of late arrival, the pitch or let will become available 24 hours after the reserved arrival date.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

We highly recommend guests acquire independent COVID-19 travel insurance tailored to their own country of residence.

For all stays booked for the 2021 season, we have created special booking conditions designed to help alleviate some of the concerns surrounding travel to France and COVID-19.

You can cancel or modify your stay up to 15 days before your arrival for any of the following reasons related to Covid-19:

1. Your place of residence is in lockdown;
2. Border closure linked to Covid-19;
3. One of the guests in your reservation tests positive up to 15 days before your arrival.

It is your responsibility to inform the campsite in writing of your decision to cancel. Cancellations should be emailed to info@mathevies.com. Covid-19 cancellations must be supported by documented proof relating to your case. Each case will be considered on its’ merits.

Subject to the terms above, Mathevies will offer a Credit Voucher for the deposit paid, less the administration fee, booking fee and any bank card commission/charges (where applicable). The voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date of creation.

Cancellations made within 15 days of the date of your arrival will be considered under the General Cancellations & Modifications Policy for camping and lettings.

DOGS

A valid vaccination certificate is compulsory and will be requested upon arrival. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and must never be left unaccompanied. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier has no proven dangerous tendencies and is not classified as a dangerous dog.
